Editor's review
OGG Vorbis audio files could be split or merged with the help of this application.
HiFi OGG Splitter Joiner is an easy to use digital audio editor supporting batch OGG files. It is not often that you get such a tool for the OGG format files. While there is an oversupply of MP3 tools there are not many for this file preferred by quality conscious users. You could, of course, change the format to MP3 and then do all the cutting & splicing but then you would lose some quality in the process. To the audio enthusiast, the MP3 is not at all equal to the OGG tracks in any way. This is one tool that lets you do the cutting and joining in one application. It can extract the best parts of various OGG files. It can also join the best parts of many OGG files together. No quality is lost. There is a preview player built into the tool. It will let you set the start and end points of cut or a splice effectively after you are sure of the spot, having listened to it. The points can also be set through a slider control.
The utility uses a built in encoder, handle VBR encoding too, so that splices are seamless and does not produce any audio artifacts such as a click. The split operation can be carried out in the batch mode saving you a lot of time. The built in editor lets you edit the title, artist, album, genre, year and comment information of your created files through the ID3 tag. The interface is absolutely intuitive and that makes for a very handy tool indeed.
